Evercore Pan-Asset offers specialist asset allocation advice across an extensive range of global asset classes. Founded in 2007 by John Redwood, Robert Brown and Christopher Aldous, our clients now include pension funds, charities, universities and family wealth. We believe that asset allocation decisions are the most important part of the investment management process.
In 2008 we recommended staying in cash as we were pessimistic about the state of the financial system.
In 2009 we recommended a mixture of Asian and world equity and corporate bonds, to take advantage of recovery and the money being created by the main governments and central banks.
In 2010 so far we expect lower returns than 2009 and recommend a more balanced portfolio. Property has become a more attractive world asset class.
In 2011 we expected difficult conditions in main world markets. We reduced risk and ran cautiously balanced portfolios.
In 2012 we expect the performance of emerging markets and the US to detach from that of Europe, still mired in the Euro crisis. We are making selective investments to the faster growing parts of the world and continuing to avoid all Euro risks.
